What is an EcoV?

• EcoV is an electric vehicle and has no emissions, noise, odors, no trips to the gas station, releases no CO2,    need no foreign oil, and virtually maintenance free.
• EcoV is a 25 mph, by law, street legal, Low Speed Vehicle that is road-worthy with automotive ride, durability, and reliability. 
• For 50 cents of electricity out of a standard wall outlet, you are recharged and ready to go another 25-40 miles in under 8 hours.
• If you are a fleet manager, we can SAVE YOU MONEY!  EcoV is basically free to fuel, virtually maintenance free, zero carbon footprint if using wind or solar to charge, and can pay for itself in less than a year! 
• EcoV is available in three models, the 4 and 6 passenger where the rear seat flips down to make a utility load floor and a 2 passenger pick-up all the 1000 lb payload capacity.
• We offer fleet buyers a complete product offering which includes standard options, sales, service, and parts and Factory Customization.  We will work with fleets and build the product they want, to their specifications and it will be delivered ready to use, factory warranted.

What is a Low Speed Vehicle?

• A Low Speed Vehicle is a vehicle regulated by the Federal Highway and Traffic Administration under a Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. 
• FMVSS 500 defines a LSV and describes the conditions to be met to qualify. 
• LSV is a vehicle that is electric drive and goes a minimum of 20 mph, which eliminates all golf carts, but no faster than 25 mph, which eliminates the need to meet all the high speed crash standards not applicable to a 25 mph vehicle. 
• The standard requires headlights, tail lamps, turn signals, brake lights, and side reflectors.  It requires seat belts and a windshield, preferably with automotive safety glass.
• EcoV meets the minimum requirements and goes well beyond them. 
• Automobile safety is of key importance to fleet and retail buyers as well as our company. 
• Low Speed Vehicles are now approved in 45 US States. http://www.ghsa.org/html/stateinfo/laws/lowspeedvehicle_laws.html  I believe MN passed and allows LSV now.
• Sometimes the terms Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV) and LSV are used interchangeably, but we prefer to use LSV because it is clearly defined as to what it is, while NEV's can be golf carts running around in gated communities.

1		This is the first generation prototype, built as a legal Low Speed Vehicle, built off a golf cart chassis.  Reaction was good but it still looks like a golf cart and does not provide what our customers wanted.
2		This is EcoV Electric, the proof-of-concept prototype which was built in North Carolina and has continued to be tested and developed here in Michigan.  It represents the basic configuration but not the styling.
3		This is an artist’s rendition of what EcoV could look like in the future.  We have a program with College for Creative Studies in Detroit to restyle the appearance.
4		EcoV is designed to be modular in construction allowing three models to be built with the same parts.  All three models have a 1000 lb. payload capacity.  The 4 passenger and 6 passenger have a rear facing rear seat that flips over to make into a utility vehicle.  The other model is the pick-up truck.

11		EcoV is a road-worthy commercial fleet vehicle for under $10,000.  The fleet operators are hungry for the operational cost savings provided by Eco V.  EcoV is 60% lower cost to own and operate than a small gasoline car.
12		The price of gasoline is uncertain and in recent times has gone up significantly. What is the gas price in your area? For the US Federal Fleet operation costs went up 21% with fuel costs going up 26%.  EcoV does not require any foreign oil to operate. EcoV gets an energy equivalent of 200-300 miles per gallon. What does gas cost in your area?
13		EcoV has an on board charger with the charge cord on a retractable reel. For just 50 cents of electricity, plug into any standard wall outlet (just like you do with a cell phone) and in 8 hrs or less, EcoV is fully recharged and ready to go 25-40 miles. And while you are out running your daily tasks, plug in anytime you see an outlet (you can plug into either a 110VAC or 220VAC outlets and the charger does the rest.) You can add about 5 miles of range per hour plugged in and recharging.
14		EcoV will offer solar charging stations for our fleet customers who will then have a zero carbon foot-print and a total zero environmental-impact transportation solution. EcoV burns nothing to operate. Also, EcoV is nearly 100% recyclable. Yes, lead acid batteries are nearly 95% recycled, the steel frame and parts can be remelted, and the plastic thermoplastic skins can be reground and made into new thermoplastic parts.
15		Here is a refreshment vehicle which we will build for specific customers.  Our factory will do customization to specific fleet buyer’s needs.  The US Postal Truck will be done that way, too.
16		Here is a city/urban UPS potential application.
17		Why is EcoV road-worthy?  It starts with a tubular steel welded frame and chassis built similar to how a race car is built.  It includes a full roll cage over the passengers.
18		Then we add 87% off-the-shelf current production automotive and industrial parts to complete the vehicle.  These parts have been developed for heavier standard vehicles and have been proven on the road to be long lasting.
19		This is GEM and wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler Chrysler.  They sold about 5000 units in 2005 and are the main competitor in this market.  They were designed for the Low Speed Vehicle paradigm of a dual purpose vehicle to use as a golf cart and then drive on restricted access roads in a closed community.  EcoV has changed that paradigm, so that EcoV is a daily driver on all public roads 35 mph or slower and feel comfortable and safe driving EcoV.
20		What does EcoV look like on inside?  Our concept prototype used a dash out of a Geo Metro, because it was the right size and price, but it looks automotive to fit EcoV’s image.
21		Here is our production design concept for the dash.  It is symmetrical so that right hand drive, as for the post office or any delivery vehicle, is very easy to do.  Just switch the column and controls, and then switch the glove box with the gage cluster.
22		EcoV is right at home in both fleet and urban family applications. It is fun and almost free to drive, and it is environmentally friendly.
